Bardonecchia - Things to Do
Our home resort of Bardonecchia, Italy, is one of the jewels of the Italian Alps. As well as the fantastic skiing made possible by the town’s mountain valley location, high peaks and excellent snow cannon provision, there are many other things to do in Bardonecchia.
You’ll soon see why we chose this friendly mountain resort as our base and why all our team members live and ski here. Even non-skiers in your party will struggle to fit all these fun adventures into their Bardonecchia holiday!
Here are some of the exciting things to do in Bardonecchia and the surrounding areas.
Non-Skiing Things To Do
Cross-Country Skiing and Snowshoe Trekking
If you’ve always wanted to try taking your snow adventures cross-country, three outstanding courses are available at nearby Pian del Colle. These are graded in difficulty, starting from just 1.5 km up to a demanding 7 km.
Find out how much fun you can have going horizontally and downhill. It’s a great way to see the countryside and a fantastic workout.
Snowcat Safari
Ride the Snowcat! These agile and speedy mountain vehicles will take you on an exhilarating trip up the slopes. There you’ll discover jaw-dropping views from mountain-top restaurants, where you can feast on a traditional Italian dinner with all the tastiest delicacies from our regional cuisine. It’s a not-to-be-missed experience.
Pedestrian Access to Slopes
Got non-skier members in your group? They can easily take the lifts at Campo Smith, Melezet and Jafferau to meet with the rest of the group for lunch on the slopes. Relax and spend quality time together in the crisp mountain air. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to socialise and catch up on your adventures.
Other Sports Activities
The sports excitement doesn’t end with winter sports. Keen sportspeople will find indoor tennis courts and swimming pools, meaning you can enjoy these facilities all year round when you fancy a break from the snow.
Relax and Unwind
Whether you’ve been hitting the slopes or the plentiful designer boutiques of Bardonecchia, what better way to treat those aching muscles than an indulgent spa day?
You can revive your body and mind with steam, saunas and massage at the Hotel Rive in Campo Smith. Go on; you deserve it.
Visit Turin
Or, for a quick change of scene, take a picturesque train ride to nearby Turin – in Italian, this city is called Torino. This ancient city is full of beauty and historical and cultural interest, plus all the shopping and dining you’d expect from a modern metropolis.
